Man Truck & Bus Korea announced on the 17th that it is actively investing in the training of technicians to strengthen its service capabilities, including the introduction of a program to visit its headquarters in Germany.
Since signing the 'Ausbildung' program agreement with the Korea-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) in 2018, Man Truck has trained over 50 specialized technicians. These individuals have grown into future core technicians at Man Truck’s nationwide service centers.
Recently, two outstanding graduates from the first class of Ausbildung were additionally selected for the Germany headquarters visit program, which is awarded to excellent technicians from service centers nationwide. The program schedule includes visits to the Truck Forum located at Man Truck’s headquarters in Munich, the Munich factory, and a directly operated service center.

Hwang Hye-seong, a technician and graduate of the first Ausbildung class who participated in the Germany headquarters visit program, said, "I was able to learn a lot by observing the systematic and professional service processes at Man Truck’s German headquarters." He added, "I will use what I saw and felt during this visit as a stepping stone to provide the best maintenance service in actual work sites."
'Ausbildung' is a German-style vocational education program that combines work and study. It aims to train skilled personnel through close cooperation between companies and schools. Program candidates are selected through a rigorous screening process including document review, written tests, personality assessments, and interviews, targeting students majoring in automotive-related fields at specialized high schools. After completing a solid three-year curriculum combining practical work at companies and university-level theoretical education, followed by two years of mandatory military service, they grow into professional technicians.
Thomas Hemmerich, President of Man Truck & Bus Korea, said, "This program was prepared to encourage outstanding Ausbildung graduates and excellent service center employees." He added, "Man Truck will continue to invest steadily in training specialized technical personnel."
