Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) has been selected for the ‘50+ Life Redesign University Project’ organized by Busan City.
The ‘50+ Life Redesign University Project’ is a program by Busan City targeting citizens aged 50 to 64, providing education on life redesign, career development, finance, health, and job exploration to encourage reemployment and entrepreneurship.
Gyeongnam Information University was selected by proposing the ‘Well-being Brunch Specialist Training Course for Restart’ in this project.
Accordingly, the Lifelong Education Center of Gyeongnam Information University will recruit students in May and operate a 105-hour life redesign curriculum with professors from seven departments.
In addition, the center plans to support students to participate in various social economic activities such as club activities through well-being brunch education and peer collaboration, employment and entrepreneurship, and social contribution activities.
Joo Won-sik, director of the Lifelong Education Center at Gyeongnam Information University, said, “As the first lifelong education center south of the Han River, we prepared this project to fulfill our responsibilities,” adding, “We will develop it into a representative model of Busan City’s project through a specialized curriculum and share and expand it within the local community.”
