Statistics Korea announced on the 17th that it will conduct the first half of the year regional employment survey targeting 230,000 households nationwide from the 19th of this month to the 4th of next month.
The survey will be conducted through the internet, face-to-face interviews, and telephone surveys. It will investigate 31 items including employment status, working hours, job-seeking status, and job-seeking activities for individuals aged 15 and over within the 230,000 households nationwide. Among the survey contents, key employment indicators by city, county, and district will be announced in August, characteristics of employed persons by industry and occupation in October, and the employment status of married women in November.
Han Hoon, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, said, “All surveyed information will be used solely for statistical compilation purposes under the Statistics Act, and confidentiality will be strictly protected,” adding, “We ask for the active participation and accurate responses of the households selected as samples.”
