Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Easy (EG) Tour Bus' for foreign tourists visiting the province from the 17th of this month until the end of the year.


The Easy Tour Bus was introduced by Gyeonggi Province in 2017 to attract foreign tourists. After recruiting foreign tourists who wish to use the service through travel agencies, the bus operates major tourist sites in Gyeonggi Province starting from Seoul locations such as Hongdae Entrance and Myeongdong.


The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced that the Easy Tour Bus will operate on a total of 12 routes divided by regions such as east, west, south, and north of Gyeonggi Province.


Recently, the organization developed new courses including the Korean Folk Village and Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, where visitors can experience Korea's history and tradition, as well as courses including the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) tourist sites in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the armistice. Seven specialized routes in the western region were also added in connection with the Western Gyeonggi Cultural Tourism Council project.


The 12 main operating routes are as follows: ▲(YonginㆍSuwon) Korean Folk Village, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Nammun Market ▲(Pocheon) Pocheon Art Valley, farm experience, Herb Island ▲(Yangpyeong) Sheep Ranch, local food direct market, Yangpyeong Dumulmeori ▲(Paju) DMZ Tour (Dora Observatory), JSA Tour ▲(AnsanㆍHwaseong) Daebu Island Dongchun Circus, Seohaerang Cable Car ▲(Gwangmyeong) Gwangmyeong Cave, IKEAㆍLotte Outlet, Dodeoksan Suspension Bridge, Gwangmyeong Traditional Market ▲(Bucheon) Bucheon Jungdong Sarang Market, Bucheon Hanok Village, Korea Manhwa Museum, Bucheon Art Bunker B39 ▲(SiheungㆍHwaseong) Siheung Premium Outlet, Seohaerang Cable Car, Yul-am Hot Springs, Grand Coteau Winery ▲(Gimpo) Gimpo La Venice, International Sculpture Park, Aegibong Peace Ecological Park ▲(Suwon) Bongnyeongsa Temple Stay, Nammun Market, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace ▲(PyeongtaekㆍGwangmyeong) Pyeongtaek Sopung Garden, Gwangmyeong Cave ▲(SiheungㆍHwaseong) Siheung Premium Outlet, Wave Park, Jeongok Port Yacht Tour.


All routes operate as one-day tours, with prices ranging from a minimum of $30 (approximately 40,000 KRW) to a maximum of $160 (approximately 210,000 KRW).


Choi Yong-hoon, Director of the Tourism Division of the province, said, "As the tourism market enters a full recovery this year, the number of foreign tourists visiting Gyeonggi Province is expected to increase. We hope that the Easy Tour Bus will widely promote the charm of Gyeonggi tourism and serve as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy."
