LG Electronics Launches 'Whisen Portable Air Conditioner' Installable Even on Small Windows

LG Electronics will launch the 2023 model of the 'Whisen Portable Air Conditioner' on the 18th, which can be installed on various window sizes from small to large and enhances design aesthetics.

This new product can be installed on small windows with a height of 56 to 102 cm when purchasing a small installation kit. It is designed to allow the use of a portable air conditioner even in places where air conditioners could not be used due to small windows. Previously, LG Whisen portable air conditioners could only be installed on windows measuring 89 to 252 cm.

Additionally, it features the calming beige color from the expert-selected Objet Collection, allowing it to harmonize with any interior. The display that shows various information is hidden within a white background for a clean design.

The automatic drying function, called ‘AI Dry+’, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to set the optimal drying conditions for removing moisture inside the product, has become even more convenient. The new product allows you to select the drying airflow in three levels. Increasing the airflow shortens the drying time, while lowering the airflow extends the drying time but reduces noise. The remaining drying time can be checked on the display.

The new product inherits the differentiated performance of the existing Whisen portable air conditioner. It is equipped with a dual inverter compressor with two cylinders compressing the refrigerant, improving cooling performance and energy efficiency. When used for 4 hours a day, it saves up to 29% more energy compared to the existing fixed-speed model (LW-C062PEW). With a dehumidification capacity of up to 44 liters per day, it keeps indoor spaces comfortable during humid seasons such as the rainy season.

The new portable air conditioner is available in two models based on cooling area: 23㎡ and 26㎡. The colors are calming beige and white. The retail price ranges from 900,000 to 1,000,000 KRW depending on the cooling area and color.
