Yongin City announced on the 17th that due to the recent spread of camping culture and the rapid increase in campground users, this special inspection is being carried out to strictly manage and prevent pollutants from being discharged into nearby rivers.
The main inspection items include checking whether the private sewage treatment facilities at the campgrounds are operating normally and whether management standards such as internal cleaning conditions are being followed. Additionally, compliance with environmental regulations will be closely examined, including whether discharge water quality standards are being met and if sewage is being illegally discharged.
The city plans to impose fines or administrative measures such as improvement orders if violations are found during the inspection. The inspection will be conducted over five months until August.
A city official emphasized, "Since discharged polluted water can have a fatal adverse effect on water quality, we conduct inspections to strictly manage it in advance," adding, "Through regular inspections, we will maintain clean water quality and realize sewage administrative services that earn citizens' trust."
