Yellow Canola Waves at Homibando Scenic Agricultural Complex, Preparing Buckwheat Flower Fields from the 17th

Pohang City has been developing the Homigot Peninsula Landscape Agriculture Complex since 2018, providing a variety of attractions such as canola flowers, colored barley, buckwheat flowers, and sunflowers over more than 100,000 pyeong annually. This year, the complex will be expanded to 50 hectares (150,000 pyeong), offering even richer sights.

First, the canola sown last October is creating a spectacular view along with the Homigot sea from March to April, attracting a continuous flow of tourists. Last month, a two-day canola flower experience event was held, featuring various enjoyable activities such as soap making, wreath making using canola, night viewing, and cultural performances.

Additionally, from April 17, canola clearing work will begin to prepare for the buckwheat flower field. The buckwheat flower field will be sown from April to May and bloom from June to July, offering new healing experiences to visitors of the Homigot Peninsula Landscape Agriculture Complex.

A city official said, “We are pleased that the canola flowers have successfully bloomed this year, providing beautiful scenery to those visiting the Homigot Peninsula Landscape Agriculture Complex,” and added, “We will continue to devote ourselves to developing the complex to offer various attractions for citizens and tourists.”
