K Auction announced on the 14th that the April auction will be held at 4 p.m. on the 26th at its headquarters in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. A total of 49 works, valued at approximately 7.1 billion KRW, will be up for auction.

Among the notable works are two pieces titled 'Portrait' by Zheng Fanzhi, a leading contemporary Chinese artist. Born in Wuhan, China, Zheng majored in oil painting at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts and gained attention with his graduation work, the 'Hospital' series, influenced by German Neo-Expressionist artists. He later completed the internationally acclaimed 'Portrait' series after the 'Meat' series and the 'Mask' series characterized by large hands and faces. The works submitted this time were painted in 2007, featuring a man in a suit and a woman with an open front, both expressed in a fading, impressionistic style.
