In broad daylight, a young man exhibited abnormal behavior by running naked in the middle of the street and kneeling down to pray. The man was caught by the police after a chase.
According to Namdo Ilbo on the 14th, around 4:10 PM that day, a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, was seen strolling on the road without a stitch of clothing near the boundary between Oryong-dong and Cheomdan 2 District in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, on the eight-lane Cheomdan Bridge.

At the time, drivers on the road and women out for a walk were startled and reported the incident to the police.
Mr. A reportedly ran hundreds of meters to evade the police who responded to the call, causing traffic congestion on nearby roads. His erratic behavior lasted for about 30 minutes.
The boundary area between Oryong-dong and Cheomdan 2 District, where the man showed abnormal behavior, is densely populated with large-scale newly built apartments, schools, and large supermarkets. Many kindergarten and elementary school students live there, and there is significant daytime movement, which caused considerable concern among parents.

Residents of nearby apartments expressed worry, saying that since many children, including women out for walks, frequently use the path, the situation could have been very dangerous. They also speculated that Mr. A "kept praying and talking nonsense, so it seemed like he was on drugs."
The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju, which arrested Mr. A on charges of public indecency, stated, "A drug test was conducted, but no drug substances were detected, so we advised him to seek medical treatment."
