Hyundai Motor Company and Kia will provide official protocol vehicles for the '56th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB)' held in Songdo, Incheon, from the 2nd to the 5th of this month.
On the 14th, Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance's ADB Annual Meeting Preparation Task Force signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding vehicle support for the 56th ADB Annual Meeting at the Korea Federation of Banks in Jung-gu, Seoul. The signing ceremony was attended by Hyundai Motor Group Executive Vice President Shin Seung-gyu and Moon Ji-seong, head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance's ADB Annual Meeting Preparation Task Force, among others.
Hyundai Motor Company and Kia will provide a total of 54 vehicles as official cars for the ADB Annual Meeting, including ▲20 Ioniq 5 units ▲2 Ioniq 6 units ▲32 EV6 units. They plan to support protocol and events for key dignitaries from various countries to ensure the successful hosting of the annual meeting.
ADB is an international financial institution established in 1966 with the purpose of promoting economic development and economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. It has 68 member countries, including Asia-Pacific nations as well as South Korea, the United States, China, and Japan.
Marking its 56th session this year, the ADB Annual Meeting is themed "Asia Rebounds: Recovery, Solidarity, Reform" and consists of business sessions, presentations by Korean companies, cultural performances, and more. Approximately 5,000 participants are expected, including finance ministers of member countries, central bank governors from various nations, domestic and international financial figures, representatives from international organizations and NGOs, and domestic and foreign journalists.
Hyundai Motor Company and Kia plan to widely promote the excellent quality of Hyundai Motor Group’s eco-friendly vehicles by providing their representative eco-friendly electrified models?Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and EV6?at this meeting attended by high-level officials from various countries. A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "We are honored to support eco-friendly vehicles at this year’s annual meeting, which is being held fully in person for the first time in four years," adding, "We expect to share Hyundai Motor Group’s commitment and vision toward a sustainable future with the world."
