Incheon City Supports Cancer Survivors' Return to Work and Society

Incheon City is launching support for cancer survivors to return to work and society.

On the 14th, the city announced that the Incheon Metropolitan Women's New Work Center, along with eight other New Work Centers and the Incheon Regional Cancer Survivor Integrated Support Center, signed a business agreement to support the return to work and business of cancer survivors in the region.

The agreement was promoted to support social reintegration through employment connections for cancer survivors in Incheon who have completed treatment after diagnosis.

Cancer survivors who quit their jobs for cancer treatment have faced difficulties finding employment due to the lack of desired employment connection services, despite receiving psychological and emotional support and job and social reintegration services from the Integrated Support Center.

Accordingly, through the business agreement, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in developing and supporting customized job return programs for cancer survivors, providing employment support services utilizing the infrastructure of the New Work Centers, and preventing career interruptions.

An official from Incheon City stated, "Returning to work is one of the most important factors for cancer survivors to maintain their daily lives," adding, "We hope that the cooperation between the Women's New Work Center and the Cancer Survivor Integrated Support Center will help their successful social reintegration."
