Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) announced on the 14th that it will hold the "Marine and Fisheries Information Service and Business Idea Contest" to discover creative ideas based on data and to create innovative administrative services and new business opportunities.

Since 2014, BPA has been hosting this contest annually in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and related organizations.

This year's 10th contest will be held for two months from the 21st to June 21, divided into three categories: idea planning, product and service development, and big data analysis.

Ten selected winners will receive a total prize of 16 million KRW, including 5 million KRW for the grand prize and 2 million KRW for the excellence award. Outstanding works will have the opportunity to advance to the finals of the "Government-wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and receive recommendations for startup support programs.
