The first event of the 'National Association of Nutrition Professionals of Metropolitan and Provincial Cities,' launched last February to promote school nutrition and dietary education, will be held in Busan.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will hold the '2023 First Half National Metropolitan and Provincial Nutrition Professionals Capacity Building Workshop' over two days, on the 14th and 15th, at the Busan Nutrition Education Experience Center, targeting about 30 nutrition professionals and nutrition teachers from metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide.
This workshop aims to enhance the expertise of nutrition professionals and nutrition teachers nationwide and to share information related to the organization and operations of the 'National Association of Nutrition Professionals of Metropolitan and Provincial Cities.'
On the 14th, there will be a special lecture by Kim Beom-gyu, Director of Character, Physical Education, and School Meals at the City Education Office, a tour of the Busan Nutrition Education Experience Center, sharing of operational cases, and sharing of outstanding nutrition and dietary education cases by city and province, followed by group discussions. On the 15th, participants will visit the 'School Dietary Education Room' at Donggung Elementary School.
The Busan Nutrition Education Experience Center, where the workshop is held, was the first of its kind established nationwide in 2019 and operates various career experience programs related to nutrition and dietary education.
Additionally, it attracts more than 20,000 visitors annually and is a representative nutrition and dietary education institution in Busan, continuously benchmarked by other metropolitan and provincial offices of education.
