Seoul National University Hospital and Bundang Seoul National University Hospital Provide Medical Volunteer Services for Gangneung Wildfire Victims

Seoul National University Hospital and Bundang Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 14th that they visited the temporary evacuation center for wildfire victims in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, and provided emergency medical volunteer services.

The medical volunteer team, consisting of 12 members including Professor Noh Young-sun from the Department of Emergency Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital, Professor Jung Joo from the Department of Emergency Medicine at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, as well as doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, and radiologists, conducted medical interviews, health consultations, and provided treatment and medication for the wildfire victims. They also offered X-ray examinations using a mobile examination bus.


Song Jeong-han, director of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, said, "We judged that providing medical support at disaster sites to realize public healthcare is an urgent duty as a national central hospital, which led us to dispatch the emergency medical volunteer team. We will actively collaborate with local medical institutions to ensure that this medical volunteer service is not a one-time event but continues to provide support to the victims."
