"Don't Act Up" 40-Year-Old Arrested for Wielding Weapon at Drunken Older Brother Causing Disturbance

A woman in her 40s was arrested by the police for wielding a weapon at her older brother, allegedly because he was causing a disturbance while intoxicated in front of their family.

The Jungnang Police Station in Seoul announced on the 14th that they have detained A (42) on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently investigating.

A is accused of attempting to kill her older brother B (45) with a weapon at their home in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, around 7:15 PM on the 13th, after becoming angry that B was intoxicated and assaulting their mother and family while causing a disturbance.

The police responded jointly to a report received by the fire department and arrested A at the scene.

A police official stated, “The detailed circumstances of the incident are under investigation,” and added, “Whether to apply for an arrest warrant will be determined after the investigation is complete.”
