GS25 Launches Unique Alcoholic Beverage 'Makkurte' Targeting MZ Generation

Combination of Makgeolli and Yakult Flavor

GS25 announced on the 14th that it will sell 'Makkurte,' a combination of Makgeolli and Yakult flavor, starting on the 15th.


Makkurte is a unique sparkling Makgeolli produced by Suldamhwa, an online alcohol subscription platform, utilizing the Yakult intellectual property (IP) of hy.

It has already been very popular as a sold-out item online, and GS25 and GS The Fresh are the first to sell it offline. GS25 will stock 8,000 bottles, and GS The Fresh will have 1,000 bottles available.


A GS Retail official said, “Recently, interest in Makgeolli and traditional liquor has significantly increased among young people, establishing a trend of Makgeolli that appeals with catchy names and unique flavors. We plan to expand our range of alcoholic products broadly in the future.”
