Yongin City will increase the number of left-turn lanes to two at the Hosu Park Samgeori intersection in Jung-dong, Giheung-gu, to alleviate frequent traffic congestion.

On the 14th, Yongin City announced that it will expand the left-turn lane at Hosu Park Samgeori from one lane to two lanes for vehicles heading from Dongbaek toward Yongin City Hall.
This section experiences long traffic jams during rush hours as vehicles from Dongbaek, as well as from Suji and Pogok directions, converge into the left-turn lane toward City Hall.
Although only one left-turn lane is currently in operation, left-turning vehicles waiting at the signal occupy the second lane as well, disrupting the flow of vehicles going straight from Dongbaek toward Singal.
Accordingly, the city will renovate part of the safety zone located in the center of the two-way lanes to create a 60-meter left-turn section in lanes 1 and 2.
The straight lanes heading toward City Hall after turning left at the intersection will also be expanded to two lanes to prevent bottlenecks. For this, part of the traffic island will be renovated.
The total project cost is 130 million KRW, and the city plans to start construction this month and complete it by the first half of this year.
A city official emphasized, "Hosu Park Samgeori, which connects the city's main downtown areas like a joint, has experienced long congestion due to heavy traffic during rush hours. We will complete the construction as soon as possible and continuously monitor to improve the traffic system efficiently."
