Korean Air announced on the 13th that it has obtained the Compliance Management System certification (ISO 37301) from the Korea Management Certification Institute, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The Compliance Management System is an international standard established by ISO, where a credible third-party organization evaluates and certifies a company's compliance management system. It is especially used as a compliance evaluation criterion or consideration standard for compliance violations when selecting business partners in international trade.
This certification was achieved as Korean Air has been revising its internal regulations and guidelines since the second half of last year to reflect international standards. Additionally, by analyzing the requirements of related government agencies, investors, and customers, and strengthening ESG activities, the company established an enterprise-wide legal risk identification and management system that meets international standards.

All executives and employees undergo regular inspections and training to ensure compliance with internal regulations and laws related to safe flight operations, service, and ethical management.
Woo Ki-hong, President of Korean Air, stated, "Compliance management is not a temporary issue but an essential element for the company’s survival and sustainable growth. Taking this opportunity of obtaining the international standard ISO 37301 Compliance Management System certification, we will further strengthen compliance and ethical management befitting a global leading airline."
