China's March Exports Increase by 14.8%... Trade Surplus at $88.1 Billion

China's exports in March this year surged by 14.8% compared to last year, significantly exceeding expectations.


On the 13th, the General Administration of Customs of China announced that China's exports in March increased by 14.8% year-on-year. This figure not only surpasses the previous announcement (-6.8% for January-February) but also greatly exceeds expert forecasts (-7.0%). During the same period, imports decreased by 1.4% compared to the previous year. Although weaker than the previous year, this still exceeds the earlier announcement (-10.2% for January-February) and forecasts (-5.0%).


Accordingly, China's trade surplus in March recorded $88.19 billion (approximately 115.8199 trillion KRW). This amount is more than double the expert estimate of $39.2 billion.
