According to the Jungbu Police Station, on the 11th and 12th, Chief Choi Eun-jeong visited local elementary schools to deliver the notification books and held meetings with the principals.

The notification book, designed for lower-grade elementary students, includes ▲types of school violence and how to respond ▲promotion of child safety guardians and guardian houses ▲prevention methods for missing and abduction cases ▲how to report school violence ▲promotion of the school police officer's KakaoTalk channel, among other information. The content is composed of illustrations and easy-to-understand examples to help students grasp the information easily.

The sensitivity of elementary students to detecting school violence is higher than that of middle and high school students. According to the 2022 school violence survey, the victim response rate among elementary students was 3.8%, higher than 0.9% for middle school students and 0.3% for high school students. The police explained that since the normalization of school classes, physical and verbal interactions have increased, and students may respond sensitively to the use of abusive language, making tailored school violence prevention education necessary.

Furthermore, recently, the types of school violence have diversified beyond verbal and physical violence to include cyber violence and sexual violence. Additionally, the age of perpetrators is decreasing, so raising awareness and vigilance about school violence from the lower grades of elementary school is necessary.

Chief Choi stated, "Instilling awareness of school violence in children leads to the prevention of school violence during adolescence," and added, "As school violence issues are being reexamined recently, we will continue to educate children and adolescents so they can recognize these issues and strive to prevent school violence."
