On that day, Ecopro's stock price closed at 640,000 KRW, down 16.78% from the previous trading day. Ecopro's stock price, which was in the early 100,000 KRW range at the beginning of the year, had sharply risen to as high as 820,000 KRW during the previous day's session. It had increased eightfold in just three months. However, with a flood of profit-taking sell orders on that day, the stock price was pushed down to 640,000 KRW.

Ecopro BM also closed at 276,000 KRW, down 6.28% from the previous session.

The simultaneous weakness in Ecopro and Ecopro BM's stock prices on that day appears to be related to the first-ever 'sell' report issued by the securities industry. Hyunsoo Kim, a researcher at Hana Securities, said, "Currently, Ecopro's market capitalization exceeds the expected corporate value five years from now," and added, "It is a great company, but I judge that it is difficult to consider it a good stock at present," issuing a 'sell recommendation.' He also emphasized, "It is a time that requires a thorough review of the appropriate value," and warned, "Both hasty chase buying (FOMO) and avoidance should be guarded against."

The target price for Ecopro presented by Hana Securities on that day was 454,000 KRW, significantly lower than the current market price. Researcher Kim stated, "Ecopro is a company that embodies both the growth value of the battery industry and the differentiated value of the metal business, but the current stock price already reflects much of that greatness," and added, "What is needed for further stock price increases is the passage of time to reflect 2030; to incorporate 2030 earnings into the stock price, a considerable adjustment period is necessary to confirm mid-term earnings for the time being."
