County Governor Sang-geun Lee Explores Market Revitalization Measures

Lee Sang-geun, the mayor of Goseong County, Gyeongnam, visited Yeong-o Market on the 12th to discuss with local merchants and explore ways to revitalize the market, expressing his intention to carry out a full renovation within this year.

Goseong County recently decided to strengthen support for Yeong-o Market, where the commercial district has weakened compared to before. To this end, the mayor personally visited the site to gather opinions from local merchants.

Sang-geun Lee, Mayor of Goseong County, Gyeongnam, visited Yeong-o Market and engaged in conversations with local merchants to explore ways to revitalize the market.

The mayor said, “Yeong-o Market plays an important role in revitalizing the local economy,” adding, “The administration will cooperate with merchants to explore various support measures, and as one of these supports, we plan to carry out a facility modernization project for the outdated Yeong-o Market this year.”

Goseong County secured 400 million KRW in national funds to comprehensively renovate the market, and through this facility modernization project, plans to transform Yeong-o Market into a distinctive local attraction.
