Neolab Convergence announced on the 12th that it has been selected as a Seoul-type Small Giant Company for six consecutive years.
The "Seoul-type Small Giant Company," hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is a project introduced in 2016 to address manpower shortages in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and youth unemployment issues.
It selects outstanding SMEs located in Seoul by evaluating corporate capabilities, the proportion of regular employees, wages, working environment, and more. Companies selected as Seoul-type Small Giant Companies receive support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, including payments for improving working conditions, support for youth interns replacing employees on parental leave, assistance in recruiting young talent, and corporate promotion support.
Neolab Convergence recently laid the foundation for advancing the digitalization of handwriting information through the development of NDP Cloud. It also launched Neolab Cloud as a new service and enhanced the process of analyzing handwriting information along with documents such as textbooks and teaching materials using artificial intelligence (AI). This year, the company is strengthening its business in the edutech field, including the launch of a descriptive evaluation service for the Chungnam Office of Education.
Neolab Convergence was founded in February 2009 by CEO Lee Sang-gyu, co-founder of Neowiz. Neolab holds core technologies for the Sound Pen and Writing Pen and provides integrated hardware and software services. Based on its core patented technology, Ncode, the company possesses technology that digitizes handwriting written on paper.
