The bookstore cafe 'ByHoney,' where beautiful flowers and a book gallery harmonize, has been named Ulsan's 7th private garden.

On the 12th, Ulsan City announced that the garden of the bookstore cafe ByHoney, located in Manhwa-ri, Dudong-myeon, Ulju-gun, has been registered as Ulsan Metropolitan City's 7th private garden under the "Act on the Creation and Promotion of Arboretums and Gardens."

At 3 p.m. on the same day, a plaque ceremony for Ulsan's 7th private garden was held at the bookstore cafe ByHoney, located next to the Park Jesang Memorial Hall in Dudong-myeon, Ulju-gun, with about 30 attendees including Lee Seok-yong, Director of Ulsan City's Greenery and Garden Bureau; Kim Seung-hyun, President of the Ulsan Landscape Association; Jang Chang-kwon, Secretary General of the Ulsan Landscape Association; and members of the ByHoney bookstore reading club.

The ByHoney garden covers an area of 339㎡ and includes an entrance garden, front yard garden, vegetable garden, a courtyard between the main building and annex, and other convenience facilities such as a lounge, lecture room, parking lot, and restroom.

The garden is themed around a plant garden and is planted with 14 species of trees, 18 species of shrubs, and over 100 species of herbaceous plants. The sight of beautiful flowers blooming and fading with the seasons combined with exhibition materials from the bookstore gallery captures the eye.

Park Tae-sook, CEO of ByHoney who created the garden, said, "Since I was young, I grew up watching my mother plant and care for balsam, peony, cosmos, and other flowers around the earthenware jar stand in the yard. Growing flowers was such a natural and ordinary part of life that I considered the garden important from the time I designed the architecture."

Park added, "The garden is a 'living room without a roof,' so I hope every guest who visits can relax comfortably while enjoying the flowers."
