On the 11th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam conducted the '2023 Integrated Violence Prevention Training for Senior Officials' targeting high-ranking public officials of grade 5 and above, including Mayor Jo Gyu-il, at the City Hall Citizen Hall.

원본보기 아이콘The training aimed to cultivate a sound value system regarding gender and to create a healthy workplace atmosphere through mutual consideration and respect. Gong Kyung-sook, a professional instructor from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education specializing in integrated violence prevention training, was invited to conduct the session under the theme "Violence Prevention Starting from Myself."
The city conducts annual prevention education on the four major types of violence (sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence) for all employees, and this year, separate face-to-face training was held specifically for senior officials of grade 5 and above.
Mayor Jo Gyu-il stated, "Through this customized training for senior officials, our high-ranking public servants must take the lead in strengthening their understanding and capabilities regarding gender equality," adding, "We will strive to foster a healthy workplace culture where all Jinju city officials respect and consider each other, setting an exemplary example for our citizens."
