Emart announced on the 12th that it will launch the second edition of "The Limited," a quarterly selection of essential daily necessities frequently used by consumers, offered at ultra-low prices, on the 13th.
This time, a total of 60 items have been prepared, including smoked pork neck, Korean beef bulgogi, domestic cutlassfish meat, shampoo & rinse, toothpaste, cleaning wipes, and Samsung Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaners. In particular, the The Limited Electroman and Samsung Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaners, released through collaboration between Emart and Samsung Electronics, offer similar performance to the existing Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaners but reduce the number of batteries from two to one, selling at 599,000 KRW, which is 330,000 KRW cheaper than the existing products.
Essential food items have been priced lower through bulk purchasing and production process improvements. Smoked pork neck was purchased in ten times the usual quantity at once and is offered at a price 19.3% cheaper than the regular price. Roasted cashew nuts (500g) are priced at 6,780 KRW, about 47% cheaper, and Korean beef bulgogi (600g) is priced at 15,980 KRW, approximately 45% less expensive.
Previously, 98% of the total planned quantity of 48 items from the first edition of The Limited in February was sold. CJ Hetbahn 210g, priced at a shocking 998 KRW, set a sales record by selling 700,000 units individually within three weeks of launch. Frozen thinly sliced pork belly was introduced with a new origin from the Netherlands at 2,000 KRW cheaper, and 200,000 packs were sold.
An Emart official said, "We have launched the second edition of The Limited products through innovative know-how accumulated over 30 years of experience," adding, "We will contribute to stabilizing grocery prices and simultaneously present products that customers really want to buy in the third quarter as well."
