GS Retail Delivers Relief Supplies to Wildfire Victims in Gangneung

Provision of Bottled Water, Energy Bars, and Bread

GS Retail announced on the 11th that it delivered emergency relief supplies to disaster victims and fire support personnel at the large wildfire site in Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

The relief supplies included 2,000 units each of bottled water, ion drinks, energy bars, and bread. These were distributed to about 100 disaster victims at the Gangneung Ice Arena shelter and approximately 1,200 firefighting and evacuation personnel.

GS Retail decided to promptly provide emergency relief supplies to offer some comfort to residents deeply affected by the wildfire, and plans to consider additional support as the affected area expands.

A GS Retail official stated, “We hope that the emergency relief supplies can provide some help and comfort to residents who suffered sudden damage due to the rapidly spreading wildfire. We also hope the wildfire will be quickly contained to prevent further damage, and we will consider additional support depending on the scale of the damage.”
