Yongin City: "Baseless... No Restaurant in Gymnasium"
Announced as 'Selected for Ministry of Environment Research Project'... But Not Actually Selected
Mr. Yumo's Recording: "Foundation to List Purieverb Soon on OO Exchange"

Suspicions have been raised that the business promoted by Uninetwork, the issuer of the cryptocurrency 'Puryever' linked to the Gangnam kidnapping and murder case, is fraudulent. The company is suspected of announcing that it is responsible for food waste disposal in certain local areas without contracts with local governments, or falsely disclosing that it was selected for a Ministry of Environment research service project when it was not.

◆ "Yongin City Waste Disposal Project," Yongin City Denies... On February 23, Uninetwork announced its '2023 Project Roadmap' through the domestic cryptocurrency exchange Coinone. In the roadmap, the company stated it would "upgrade 'PuryWaste' in the first quarter of this year." PuryWaste is Uninetwork's system that automatically measures the weight of food waste bins and processes and collects food waste through the Internet of Things (IoT). The PuryWaste system shows the weight of food waste bins at the Yongin City Indoor Gymnasium.

However, Yongin City and Yongin Urban Corporation stated that they have never conducted related projects with Uninetwork. A Yongin City official said, "There are no restaurants in the Yongin City Indoor Gymnasium, so food waste cannot be generated. Naturally, there are no food waste bins." He added, "The gymnasium is currently under construction, so no people are present." A Yongin Urban Corporation official explained, "Although a store selling volume-based waste bags has opened in the gymnasium, there is no place to collect and process food waste," and "As far as we know, Uninetwork has not opened a store there either."

◆ Suspicions of False Announcement Regarding Ministry of Environment Service... In May of last year, Uninetwork announced on the cryptocurrency disclosure site 'Xangle' that it had been selected for the Ministry of Environment's research service project to build an automatic food waste management system. However, the Ministry of Environment, Korea Waste Association, and Korea Food Waste Collection and Transportation Association, which conducted the related project, told this publication that they have never worked with Uninetwork. A Ministry of Environment official said, "The Korea Waste Association is responsible for selecting private companies," and added, "We are not involved in the selection of private companies such as Uninetwork."

The Korea Waste Association and Korea Food Waste Collection and Transportation Association even protested regarding the content Uninetwork disclosed. A Korea Waste Association official said, "We never signed a contract with Uninetwork," and "Uninetwork attended a meeting related to the Ministry of Environment's service commencement report last year only once, but was not selected." The official continued, "After an article stating that Uninetwork was selected for the research service project was published, we protested to have the article withdrawn," and "We did not know they even posted the disclosure." The Korea Food Waste Collection and Transportation Association also said, "At that time, Uninetwork unilaterally introduced their business without any consultation with the association, which led to our protest."

Uninetwork's false promotion is also confirmed in the recording of Yoo, who is suspected of instructing the Gangnam kidnapping and murder case. After Puryever's price plummeted in April 2021, Yoo tried to dissuade investor A, who wanted to sell Puryever, by conveying the foundation's position. Yoo said, "I was supposed to meet with CEO Lee of Uninetwork. If I relay the foundation's words exactly, they said it will soon be listed on a major domestic cryptocurrency exchange OO," adding, "I was very disappointed seeing the foundation say they would do something but not keep their promises. However, they said it would be okay to sell a large amount all at once when it gets listed on a major exchange."

On the afternoon of the 11th, this publication requested CEO Lee of Uninetwork via KakaoTalk to explain the company's position on the related matters. CEO Lee only replied, "I will respond," but did not provide the company's position by 9 a.m. on the 12th. A Coinone official, the cryptocurrency exchange distributing Puryever Coin, said, "We have currently designated Puryever as a watchlist item and are verifying whether there is any false information in the whitepaper," adding, "We plan to make a decision after confirming the position of the Uninetwork Foundation."
