The resident dialogues were conducted over a total of 10 days from February 15 to the 3rd of last month, touring 20 eup, myeon, and dong districts.

At this report meeting, the review results by department on all proposed and pending projects and future implementation plans were discussed.

A total of 431 resident proposals and pending projects were received, with small-scale development projects such as village road improvements, agricultural road expansion and paving, and drainage maintenance accounting for the largest portion at 273 cases (63%).

Following were 40 cases related to agriculture and livestock, including the rural space maintenance project around the birthplace of General Na Dae-yong in Munpyeong, 37 cases in park green space and environment such as development of tourist resources on idle land in Najuho Lakeside Park and guidance and crackdown on odor-emitting businesses, and 33 cases in culture, arts, and sports fields including support for village choirs and expansion of park golf courses.

As a result of on-site visits and interviews with proposers by the relevant departments, among all projects, 65 cases (15%) have been completed, 195 cases (45%) are in progress, 126 cases (29%) are long-term tasks, and 45 cases (11%) are deemed unfeasible.

The city plans to continuously manage and review the feasibility of long-term tasks and unfeasible matters, which are due to budget conditions and legal and institutional limitations, by securing budgets and considering changes in related laws and regulations over the long term.

Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "I ask that projects directly related to citizen safety among those proposed through resident dialogues be prioritized and implemented swiftly," and added, "For projects that are unfeasible or long-term, I hope departments will meet residents directly to explain the reasons and seek alternatives, practicing citizen-centered, proactive, and empathetic administration."
