As the battery industry rapidly grows, POSCO Future M is striving to secure specialized personnel to lead not only the domestic but also the global market. This agreement with Sungkyunkwan University is part of ongoing efforts to secure talent in battery materials, which have been pursued since last year with leading domestic educational institutions such as POSTECH, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Hanyang University, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), and Yonsei University.

Kim Jun-hyung, President of POSCO Future M, stated, "To support business growth that has been achieving record-breaking performance every year, securing talent to strengthen research competitiveness is our top priority. We will actively support the selected students to grow into the best experts leading the battery materials industry."

Yoo Ji-beom, President of Sungkyunkwan University, said, "This industry-academic cooperation is very timely considering the importance of materials in the battery industry. We will nurture the students selected for the e-Battery Track to become global core leaders who create value for future society."

In addition, POSCO Future M is moving swiftly to secure talent. The internship program has expanded its recruitment target to include students in the first semester of their senior year, while increasing the number of schools for on-site recruiting and conducting recruitment consultations regularly to secure outstanding talent ahead of others.

Furthermore, by collaborating with universities located near its business sites, POSCO Future M is establishing a virtuous cycle of jobs where the region and the company coexist by not only recruiting excellent local talent but also encouraging their settlement in the area.
