OCI Sharing Society and Artworks, Running Together... Regional Touring Exhibition Until the End of May

Kim Taekjung "Expanding ESG Management Centered on Holding Companies After Corporate Split"

OCI announced on the 11th that it will carry out various social contribution activities to fulfill its social responsibilities, including a regional touring exhibition of artworks and volunteer activities as running guides for the visually impaired.

From April 31 to May 30, OCI is holding a regional touring exhibition at the OCI Museum, showcasing its collection of ancient artworks to local residents. Starting in Pohang, the exhibition will tour cities with OCI regional business sites such as Gwangyang and Gunsan, providing local residents with opportunities to enjoy culture.

Now in its 6th year, the regional touring exhibition was held biennially since 2010 but was temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 and has resumed after four years.

This exhibition, themed "Wansang (玩賞)," which means "enjoying and appreciating an object as a hobby," features representative ceramics of the era such as Goryeo celadon and Joseon blue-and-white porcelain, as well as various paintings reflecting the lifestyle and sentiments of the Korean people.

On the 9th, over 30 OCI employees participated in the "Happy Store Marathon for Helping the Underprivileged" held at Yeouido Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, volunteering as guide runners running alongside visually impaired participants.

Since 2009, OCI has consistently participated in volunteer activities as "running guides for the visually impaired" in collaboration with the "Korea Visually Impaired Marathon Club (VMK)." More than 600 employees have served as guides, running in step with visually impaired runners.

Kim Taek-jung, CEO of OCI, said, "With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, all corporate activities, including social contribution activities, were conducted non-face-to-face, so I am very pleased that we can now fully resume face-to-face events. Even after the corporate split, we will continue to expand ESG management centered on the holding company."
