This year, 56 new students were selected. The scholarship recipients will receive full tuition scholarships from the foundation for two years.

The Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Foundation was established in 1996 by Ham Tae-ho, the honorary chairman and founder of Ottogi, who donated his private funds. The foundation carries out various academic promotion projects and scholarship programs. Starting in 1997 with scholarship support for 14 students at 5 universities, it has provided scholarships totaling 7.9 billion KRW to approximately 1,165 students to date.

Since 2009, the foundation has established the Ottogi Ham Tae-ho Academic Award, selecting two food-related professors twice a year through the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology and the Korean Society of Food and Nutrition Science who have contributed to the development of the food industry and the improvement of human dietary life. Each receives a prize of 60 million KRW, with a total of 26 recipients so far. Since 2013, the foundation has also been providing research funding to researchers in the food field.
