Jeong Cheol-woo, Daegu National Tax Service Commissioner, "We will help struggling businesses through tax consulting" ... Visit to Goryeong Industrial Complex

The Daegu Regional Tax Office (Commissioner Jeong Cheol-woo) visited Goryeong, Gyeongbuk on the 10th and held a communication session at the Goryeong Industrial Complex Management Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-tae) to provide useful tax information that helps with tax savings to small and medium-sized business owners, discuss their difficulties, and listen to their suggestions.

Goryeong County is a region with an industrial complex specialized in foundry, machinery, and metal industries, which are the root industries of manufacturing. Last December, it was selected as the best institution in the regional development project performance evaluation conducted by Gyeongbuk Province.

The communication session, attended by County Governor Lee Nam-chul, signifies the Daegu Regional Tax Office’s active participation in efforts to develop the local economy by strengthening collaboration with local governments during its regional, industry-specific, or chamber of commerce touring consulting process.

Governor Lee said, “I am grateful for providing consulting despite your busy schedule and creating a communication opportunity to resolve the difficulties faced by local companies. Goryeong County will also do its best to help alleviate the burdens experienced by business owners.”

Chairman Kim expressed his thoughts, saying, “Through this session, I hope business owners gain a better understanding of national tax administration and that tax administration reflecting the difficulties and suggestions of business owners will greatly assist small and medium-sized business management.”

Commissioner Jeong provided short video clips on various topics, including “How to Say Goodbye to Temporary Payments,” which contain useful tax information for tax savings, and said, “We will actively participate in overcoming difficult times and maintaining employment by indirectly supplying liquidity through various tax support measures such as the discretionary extension of payment deadlines for small and medium-sized enterprises affected by Typhoon Hinnamnor, and through customized tax consulting.”

The Daegu Regional Tax Office plans to continue the consulting activities specialized for industrial complexes by local governments, which were conducted in collaboration with Dalseong County last December, this year as well, to help companies minimize tax risks and focus on their core business activities.
