A project in which experts, businesspeople, and the public and private sectors jointly identify hidden regulations will be launched in Ulsan.
On the 11th at 10:30 a.m., Ulsan City announced that it will hold the launching ceremony of the "Ulsan City Public-Private Joint Regulation Discovery Team" to promote field-centered, private-led regulation discovery and improvement at the main building's 2nd-floor conference room of the city hall.
About 30 people, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom and members of the regulation discovery team, will attend the launching ceremony. The event will proceed with the awarding of appointment letters, reporting on the operation plan of the public-private joint regulation discovery team, Q&A sessions, and collection of opinions on the operation plan.
The Ulsan City Public-Private Joint Regulation Discovery Team is a new project implemented for the first time this year to comprehensively discover unreasonable regulations that act as obstacles to citizens' lives and business activities.
The discovery team consists of a total of 25 members, including practical experts affiliated with associations related to business, economy, and culture, representatives of companies and self-employed individuals, citizen representatives, and related agency officials, and will operate until December 31, 2024.
The associations participating in the discovery team include the Ulsan Small and Medium Business Association, Ulsan Small Business Federation, Korea Specialty Contractors Association Ulsan Metropolitan City Chapter, Ulsan Architects Association, Ulsan Metropolitan City Architectural Society, Ulsan Cultural Center Federation, and Ulsan Tourism Association.
Seo Nam-gyo, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office and head of the team, said, "We expect experts from all walks of life to successfully discover hidden regulations in Ulsan," adding, "We plan to pool our capabilities to discover demand-centered regulations and promptly promote regulatory innovation."
