The Red Dot Design Award, considered one of the world's top three design awards, saw a total of over 20,000 products submitted from 51 countries worldwide this year. SK Biopharm explained that this award recognized not only the functional aspects of the wearable devices capable of collecting biosignals in real time but also their design excellence and superiority in user experience and sustainability.
The streamlined device Zero Wired, which connects to smartphones, and the earphone-type Zero Earbud measure complex biosignals such as brainwaves, electrocardiograms, and movements in real time, enabling detection of unexpected seizures occurring in epilepsy patients. In particular, the Zero Earbud features an ergonomic design and adjustable sizing to fit various head sizes.
SK Biopharm is strengthening its digital healthcare model by fully launching 'Project Zero,' which aims for complete seizure elimination in epilepsy patients through the development of a total of five epilepsy-specific devices, including Zero Wired and Zero Earbud.
Previously, SK Biopharm also received an Innovation Award for these products at CES last November.
