Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School is recruiting trainees for the Semiconductor Process Engineer Course and the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Course.

After its launch last year, the Semiconductor Process Engineer Course at Gyeonggi Technology School received great response, and the number of trainees has been significantly increased from 30 last year to 75 this year.

The training will be conducted sequentially in three sessions from May 8 to November. In particular, aiming to cultivate process engineers equipped with semiconductor equipment technology, the program includes various process and equipment practical training followed by a final hands-on project. The training location is Daelim University in Anyang.

The Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Specialist Course will be operated for about 30 trainees over one month from June 26 to July 21. It aims to strengthen employment capabilities through project practice covering both semiconductor front-end and back-end processes. The training will be held at Korea Polytechnic University I, Seongnam Campus.

Applicants must be unemployed Gyeonggi-do residents aged 19 or older who wish to receive education and employment in the semiconductor field. Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation’s integrated application system 'Jobaba Apply (https://apply.jobaba.net)'.

The training is free of charge, and trainees will receive a monthly training allowance of 400,000 KRW (20,000 KRW per day, provided attendance is 80% or higher per month).

An Chi-kwon, Director of the Job and Economic Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, emphasized, "Gyeonggi-do is the central base and technology hub of semiconductor production in South Korea, and through the semiconductor education courses at Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School, we will further strengthen the development of industrial manpower within the province."
