CU Launches Baek Jong-won's Baekban Hanpan Set Meal... Most Side Dishes Ever

CU announced on the 11th that it will launch the third installment of Baek Jong-won's lunchbox series, the ‘Baekban Hanpan Jeongsik Lunchbox’.

The Baekban Hanpan Jeongsik Lunchbox consists of 12 side dishes. It includes two types of spicy pork bulgogi (soy sauce and gochujang), chicken nuggets, seafood meatballs, ham sausage, stir-fried kimchi, and seasoned bean sprouts. A fried egg is placed on top of black rice, and seasoned seaweed is included.

This product is discounted by 500 won until the end of this month, selling for 4,000 won. Additionally, applying subscription coupons and telecom partnership discounts reduces the price by 900 won and 400 won respectively, and paying with KakaoPay Money grants an extra 500 won discount, making the final purchase price 2,200 won.

According to CU, last month’s total lunchbox sales increased by 36.7% compared to the previous year. In particular, with the popularity of Baek Jong-won lunchboxes parts 1 and 2, sales in office districts and university areas rose by 22.6% and 41.3% year-on-year, respectively.

A BGF Retail official said, “We developed the Baekban Hanpan Jeongsik Lunchbox, which contains the largest number of side dishes ever, so that customers can enjoy a hearty, home-cooked meal anytime and anywhere,” adding, “CU will continue to focus on cost-effectiveness and develop various products so that customers can choose a proper meal without burden even amid high inflation.”
