Explosion Device Found at Yongsan Railroad Maintenance Site, Operations Halted for 10 Minutes... "Suspected Old Shell"

An old explosive device was discovered inside Yongsan Station, causing train operations to be suspended for a while.

According to Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) and others on the 10th, an old bomb was found during work at a construction site near Yongsan Station at around 4:03 PM that day.

Work was halted immediately after the bomb was discovered. Police and related agencies dispatched in response to the report ordered the suspension of use of three tracks at Yongsan Station until the situation was assessed. After the explosive ordnance disposal team arrived, the bomb disposal operation was carried out, and train operations were temporarily suspended at the police's request during the disposal process.

The police are reportedly investigating the details of the bomb.
