SSG.com Launches Chanel Watch Popup... World's First E-commerce Sale

French luxury brand Chanel opened a watch pop-up store on SSG.com on the 10th.

Chanel is selling seven watch products, including the J12 Cybernetic, Boy.Friend Cyberdate, and J12 Interstellar, through the pop-up store "Chanel Interstellar Capsule Collection" on SSG.com until the end of this month. This is the world's first time that Chanel's luxury line, excluding beauty products, has entered an e-commerce shopping mall.

Chanel has focused on an offline-centered sales strategy without selling products on its official website. For this SSG.com pop-up as well, product pickup is only available at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch. This is seen as adding the convenience of online sales to the existing offline strategy.
