The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Gwangju University, and the Korea Disaster Safety Technology Institute have joined hands in a joint response effort to enhance disaster response capabilities for various disaster situations.


Jeonnam Fire announced on the 10th that it had signed an agreement for cooperation in the field of disaster safety.

This agreement ceremony was promoted to establish a more robust safety network through industry-academia-government cooperation by exchanging disaster safety-related technologies and researching and developing educational programs.


Hong Young-geun, head of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Kim Dong-jin, president of Gwangju University, and Jeong Sang-man, director of the Korea Disaster Safety Technology Institute, attended and united their efforts to work closely for the safety of the residents.


The three organizations plan to cooperate by sharing advanced techniques for disaster safety, developing professional personnel training programs, improving disaster management systems, and supporting various disaster safety-related activities.


This collaboration among Jeonnam Fire, responsible for residents' safety, Gwangju University, playing a significant role in regional education, and the Korea Disaster Safety Technology Institute, responsible for research in the disaster safety field, is expected to serve as a catalyst for realizing a safe Jeonnam.


President Kim Dong-jin said, “As awareness of safety has recently increased, we will contribute to spreading a safety culture in the local community.”


Director Jeong Sang-man stated, “We will cooperate to take practical actions to create a safe Jeonnam.”


Head Hong Young-geun emphasized, “This business agreement is expected to play a significant role in improving education and training programs for the safety of residents.”
