Attending the signing ceremony were Superintendent Park Jong-hoon, KBS Changwon General Director Yoo Hae-nam, Changwon Chamber of Commerce Chairman Koo Ja-cheon, Green Umbrella Gyeongnam Sponsorship Chairman Jung Young-sik, and Director Jung Eun-hee.
According to the provincial Office of Education, this project is an advancement from the "Sleeping 100 Won, Opening Hope" initiative that has been ongoing since 2012.
Moving away from the temporary piggy bank coin donation method, various sharing projects among the agreement institutions will be conducted so that residents can participate in sharing regularly.
The funds raised from companies and organizations will be supported by the Office of Education for children in vulnerable groups within the region.
Superintendent Park said, "I hope this agreement will be an opportunity to alleviate the difficulties of children in vulnerable groups and to unite efforts in pursuing happiness," adding, "Our Office of Education will also do its best to become a great force in opening a happier world together."
