Gwangju Science Museum Recruiting 7th Generation of Youth Public Relations Communication Group LuceStar

The National Gwangju Science Museum is recruiting the 7th class of 'Lucestar,' a youth science culture promotion communication group and science communicators, until the 20th of this month.


Any youth in the Honam region (from 4th grade elementary to high school) who love science and have a passion for sharing knowledge can apply, with a total of 100 members being recruited.


The activity period is nine months, from April to December this year.

Lucestar, meaning the shining star of the science museum, started in 2017 and is now in its 7th term this year. It has gradually grown in scale and established itself as the representative youth external activity in the Honam region.


Especially this year, awards such as the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Mayor of Gwangju Award, and the Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum Award will be given to the top-performing members.


The main activities include ▲participation in science museum exhibitions, education events, and promotional activities ▲science experiments, content creation, and other science culture dissemination activities ▲participation in contests.


Lucestar members receive benefits such as ▲free use of the National Gwangju Science Museum’s permanent exhibition hall, special exhibitions, and special video theater (once a month, up to 3 accompanying persons) ▲free use of one-day education programs (once a month, limited to members).


Additionally, ▲volunteer activity records are recognized ▲monthly and year-end awards for outstanding members are given (1 Minister of Science and ICT Award, 1 Mayor of Gwangju Award, 10 Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum Awards), acknowledging external activity achievements.
