Cheon Chang-su, Superintendent of Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, will receive reports on major tasks and current projects from all departments at the headquarters, education support offices, and affiliated institutions for the first time since his inauguration.
The reporting session was organized to share key tasks necessary for the successful implementation of educational policies by the 10th superintendent and will be held from the 10th to the 12th at the policy conference room of the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education.
At the reporting session, department (institution) heads, headquarters team leaders, directors and section chiefs of education support offices, and heads of affiliated institutions will attend to report on the progress of major tasks and current projects by each department (institution).
After this reporting session, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to finalize the direction for promoting major current projects and will actively pursue new policies for Ulsan education centered on Superintendent Cheon's campaign promises.
Superintendent Cheon Chang-su stated, “I will carefully review and thoroughly fill the four-month gap to continue change and innovation,” adding, “We will jointly consider and find ways to address and implement solutions for current issues such as closing the academic achievement gap, ensuring basic academic skills, improving the educational environment, transitioning to future education, and resolving school violence problems.”
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is focusing on key tasks this year, including student growth-tailored education, education that cultivates future competencies, sustainable ecological environmental education, and fostering a culture of mutual respect in schools.
Major projects include the focused learning growth grade system, operation of the Ulsan Future Education Expo, expansion of the Education Welfare Link Group, creation of safe school environments, spread of innovative educational culture, activation of the Student Participation Committee, establishment of a transparent and clean culture, and construction of future-oriented empathetic educational facilities.
