Over 50 employees of Michelin Korea participated in a tree-planting volunteer activity at Noeul Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 7th.
Last year, the company conducted the 'Work for Zero' challenge within the company as part of its carbon neutrality efforts, and this time held a campaign called 'Plant for Zero.' They planted 100 silk trees and oriental raisin trees on the sloped forest creation site within the park.
The employees also decided to participate in the Jip-ssi-tong activity. This is an abbreviation for a log in which seeds are grown at home; participants receive a log-shaped pot containing soil and acorns, nurture it at home for over 100 days, and then return it to the park. The saplings are then grown for 2 to 3 years at a tree nursery before being planted in the park's forest creation area.
J?r?me Bangsong, CEO of Michelin Korea, said, "Small actions can collectively lead to significant results," adding, "This is a great opportunity to share the values and leadership of the Michelin Group, which prioritizes the environment."
