Jeju Air to Operate Charter Flight to Indonesia... "First Flight Since Establishment"

Jeju Air announced on the 10th that it will operate charter flights for tourism purposes to Manado and Batam, representative tourist destinations in Indonesia. This Incheon~Manado~Batam charter flight is the first Indonesian route operated since the establishment of Jeju Air.

Jeju Air will operate one round-trip charter flight each on the Incheon~Manado route on May 18 and the Incheon~Batam route on May 19. Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi Province in Indonesia and a beautiful port city, is the first route operated by Jeju Air among domestic airlines. It is a travel destination loved by travelers worldwide for its clear and pristine natural environment. Manado is also famous as a sanctuary for divers, where various marine life can be encountered in its clean seas.

Batam, which will be served on May 19, is an island located in the Riau Islands of northern Indonesia. It is famous as a golf travel destination with mild weather year-round and numerous high-quality golf courses ranked among the world's top 100. Additionally, Batam is so close to the popular travel destination Singapore that it can be reached in 40 minutes by ferry, making it a perfect spot to travel to both Indonesia and Singapore at once.

Meanwhile, Jeju Air signed an agreement in September last year with North Sulawesi Province in Indonesia to promote economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between the two countries, aiming to develop new routes using the new aircraft (B737-8) scheduled for introduction this year. Furthermore, in January, Jeju Air signed an MOU with Indonesia's state-owned company, 'Indonesia's No.1 Airport Corporation,' to explore cooperative projects as a foothold for entering the Indonesian market.
