Namhae-gun Launches 'My Tree Ownership' Campaign for Planting Around Daily Life Areas

Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a "Get Your Own Tree Campaign" event at the Namhae-eup Public Stadium area to celebrate the 78th Arbor Day.

About 1,000 residents, including villagers and children, participated in the event held on the 7th, receiving saplings that can be planted around their living areas.

An official from the county stated, "Although the 78th Arbor Day tree planting event scheduled for the 5th was unfortunately canceled due to rain, we planted 1,100 prepared cypress trees and about 2,700 azaleas in the Namhae Healing Forest Town area, which is being newly developed as a clean Namhae tourist resource, creating an even more beautiful landscape."
