Singer Lim Young-woong proved his popularity by surpassing 1.49 million subscribers on his official YouTube channel.
Lim Young-woong's official YouTube channel, 'Lim Young-woong,' exceeded 1.49 million subscribers on the 7th. This marks an increase of 10,000 subscribers in 33 days since reaching 1.48 million on March 5.
Previously, the Lim Young-woong channel demonstrated its influence by gaining 10,000 subscribers each month, reaching 1.45 million on December 11 last year, 1.46 million on January 3, and 1.47 million on February 6.
Launched on December 2, 2011, Lim Young-woong's official YouTube channel had a total of 654 videos as of the 10th. The cumulative views surpassed 1.95 billion, with 66 videos exceeding 10 million views.
Meanwhile, on the 8th, Lim Young-woong attracted attention as the ceremonial kicker at the FC Seoul vs. Daegu FC match held at Seoul World Cup Stadium. Following the news of Lim Young-woong's ceremonial kick, 20,000 tickets were sold within 10 minutes of the ticket sales opening that day.
As a result, the club opened additional seats up to the third-floor side stands, and 45,007 spectators attended the match. This is the highest attendance record since the COVID-19 pandemic and the largest crowd in about seven years in K League history, following the Seoul-Suwon match held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in June 2016 (47,899 spectators).
Lim Young-woong took the field wearing the FC Seoul uniform and a 40th-anniversary commemorative scarf. Having played as a soccer player until middle school, he attracted attention by wearing soccer cleats not only for the ceremonial kick but also during the halftime performance. Lim Young-woong expressed his gratitude to the fans who came to the stadium by watching the entire game, including the halftime show that day.
