The Safest Airline ... Air Busan Ranks 1st in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Safety Evaluation

Air Busan has been recognized as the safest among the 11 national airlines in South Korea.

Air Busan received the highest rating in the airline safety level evaluation, which reflected the accident status and safety supervision results of 11 Korean airlines in 2022.

Since its founding, Air Busan has prioritized safety as its core value and has focused on raising safety awareness, including making safety a key task in the major goals announced earlier this year.

With the full resumption of international flights recently, Air Busan has expanded the frequency of its "Safety Council," which discusses safety policies, from 1-2 times a year to quarterly meetings, striving to provide a foundation for passengers to travel with peace of mind and enjoyment.

Currently, Air Busan does not operate any aged aircraft (over 20 years old), and the airline voluntarily returns outdated aircraft while introducing new ones to enhance both safety and passenger convenience.

An Air Busan official stated, “We believe that the highest rating was achieved as a result of continuously strengthening our safety foundation through a flawless record of no aircraft accidents or serious incidents in the past 10 years and strict adherence to safety regulations.”

CEO An Byung-seok said, “Under the principle of no compromise on safety, we will continue to strengthen all safety-related capabilities through thorough pre-inspections and prevention,” adding, “Air Busan will continue to do its best to serve passengers comfortably and safely as the ‘safest airline.’”

Air Busan ranked first among eight airlines in the ‘2021 Air Traffic Service Evaluation Safety’ category and has received the ‘Safest Airline’ commendation from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport three times in total.
