High School Senior Homeroom Teachers Gather! Gyeongnam Office of Education Hosts College Entrance Exam Preparation Teacher Workshop

On the 3rd, the Gyeongnam Office of Education held a training session for high school senior department heads at the Peace Hall in the Changjo Building of Gyeongnam National University.

According to the provincial Office of Education, the training session was organized to establish customized college admission strategies for schools and students in 2024 by analyzing the 2023 academic year’s college admission application data by high school, and to build a collaborative college admission system for each school unit.

Kim Jong-seung, Director of the College Admission Information Center at the provincial Office of Education, analyzed the admission results based on last year’s early admission application data of students in the Gyeongnam region and presented solutions regarding changes in this year’s college admission process and application strategies.

He also provided guidance on efficient application strategies for current students in each admission track, considering the expected decrease in the school-age population and the increase in repeat test-takers.

He explained the need to focus on first semester activities in the third year in preparation for the abolition of self-introduction letters in the comprehensive student record admission track and the non-reflection of awards, individual volunteer activities, autonomous clubs, and reading activities in the school life record areas.

The provincial Office of Education distributed materials to training participants, including data on each student’s university applications and admission results for the 2023 early admission, excellent cases of comprehensive student record admission applications, and a booklet on the characteristics and application strategies of the 2024 college admission process.

Earlier, the Gyeongnam College Admission Information Center distributed to schools last month materials aimed at strengthening the college admission capabilities of high school senior teachers and assisting in counseling, including ▲Guide for collaboration among high school senior teachers ▲2023 early admission student application analysis ▲2023 student record-based admission interview reviews ▲2023 admission and rejection data for early and regular admissions of students in the Gyeongnam region.

Kim Kyung-gyu, Director of Career Education, stated, “We will play a central role in alleviating anxiety by providing school site-customized college admission information to students and parents who are thirsty for admission information.”
