On the 3rd (local time), the Eurozone's March Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) recorded 47.3.

This exceeded the previously announced preliminary figure of 47.1. The prior figure was 48.5.

The Manufacturing PMI is an indicator that measures the activity level of purchasing managers in the manufacturing sector. A figure above 50 indicates growth in the manufacturing sector, while below 50 signifies contraction.
